Husband and Wife power team Max and Aimee have joined forces and created a cosy paradise in Southampton. The Rockstone is not your typical city centre pub, with staff that treat you like locals from your very first visit. What more could you need this season than great home cooked food in a laid back, fun atmosphere?
Packed with ales and ciders from local producers, we also offer a 38 bottle wine list, 75 whiskeys and bourbons, 60 rums, 11 gins, and 4 vodkas. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to ensure you have a great experience and can guide you through the myriad of products on offer if the mood takes you to try something new. Don't forget to look at our cocktails specials board for information about the day's drinks. We offer a range of long drinks, from classic cocktails to homemade contemporary sparks of inspiration.
All the food is homemade, and locally sourced where possible. The ethos at this pub is to offer local food for local people.
There is comprehensive burger menu, all of which are handmade from prime steak mince but as an alternative you can have your burger with a chicken breast, or vegetable burger instead of beef.
We offer fresh fish specials every Friday, Saturday and Sunday including such popular favourites as Swordfish, Lobster, Scallops, Monkfish and sea bass.
Come down and try to get on the infamous “Manliness Board” and see if you can beat the current champions in a “see who can eat the most meat” competition.
Our two gardens, offer sun, shade and refreshment all week, and even more so during our special events with the help of our huge BBQ and outdoor mini-bar, such as Ales Festivals, Charity Folk Festivals, Cider Festivals, Rum Tasting Weekend and Beach Party, August Bank Holiday Live Music fund-raisers, Rocktoberfest, German Christmas Market and many more.
Tuesdays are “Tex Mex Tuesdays” £8 a meal, or two for £15.
Wednesdays and Sundays are “Steak Night/Meat Night” with many cuts of meat on offer from 2lb beef steaks to wild boar and pork loin including the ever popular 10oz Rump Steak meal for £12 or two for £20.
Thursdays are Burger Night with £10 per burger or two for £18.
